'Di Atas Air dan Batu' Film Terbaik DFF 2015

FILM dokumenter Di Atas Air dan Batu (DAAB) karya Bowo Leksono (Purbalingga) dinobatkan sebagai film terbaik Denpasar Film Festival (DFF) 2015. Film ini menyisihkan empat film unggulan lainnya yakni Bersama Lupus (Galih Seta Dananjati, Denpasar), Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana (Diyah Verakandhi, Yogyakarta), Kakek Si Pemburu Lebah (Gede Seen, Buleleng), serta Lasem, Balada Kampung Naga (M. Iskandar Tri Gunawan, Yogyakarta). Atas kemenangannya itu  DAAB berhak membawa pulang trophi hadiah uang tunai sebesar Rp20 juta. Sementara para unggulan masing-masing memperoleh uang tunai sebesar Rp3,5 juta.

66 Film Dokumenter Berkompetisi di DFF ke-6 2015

Sebanyak 66 film dokumenter dari berbagai daerah di Tanah Air ambil bagian dalam kompetisi yang diselenggarakan Denpasar Film Festival (DFF) ke-6 tahun 2015. Karya-karya tersebut terbagi menjadi dua kategori yakni Kategori Umum (49 karya) dan Kategori Pelajar (17 karya).  Kategori Umum berasal dari Banda Aceh, Medan, DKI Jakarta, Tangerang, Tasikmalaya, Purbalingga, Yogyakarta, Banyuwangi, Malang, Buleleng, Semarang, Pekalongan, Surabaya, Makasar, Mataram, Kendari, Samarinda, Ambon, dan Denpasar sendiri. Film Tumiran Menang di Denpasar Film Festival 2014

Film dokumenter berjudul Tumiran karya sutradara muda asal Banyuwangi, Vicky Hendri Kurniawan, dinyatakan sebagai karya terbaik dalam Denpasar Film Festival 2014. Penyerahan penghargaan disampaikan oleh Wali Kota Denpasar Ida Bagus Rai Mantra, Sabtu malam, 23 Agustus 2014.

"Tumiran", karya Vicky Hendri Kurniawan dari Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur, dinobatkan sebagai film terbaik dalam ajang Festival Film Denpasar (DFF) 2014.

Pada penobatan yang dilakukan, Sabtu (23/8) malam di "Danes Art Veranda" Denpasar itu, "Tumiran" mengungguli lima film unggulan yang dipilih oleh dewan juri yakni "Apa Kabar Potehi" (Ari Mendrofa, Bandung), "Jamu Laut" (Andi Hutagalung, Medan), "Berni Meraung" (Agung S. Rohutomo, Jember) dan "Pesisir Harapan" (Nurazaz Ramdany, Jakarta).

Untuk menggairahkan penyelenggaraan Denpasar Film Festival (DFF) 2014, Panitia Penyelenggara telah melakukan aktivitas “pemanasan” jauh-jauh bulan sebelumnya. Program dimulai dengan Pemutaran dan Diskusi Film reguler yang diberi tajuk “Cine Garden”. Film-film dokumenter yang diputar dalam acara tersebut adalah film-film terbaik DFF 2013 dan film-film menarik  karya sineas ternama di Indonesia (dunia).

Selain merupakan bagian dari sosialiasi DFF 2014, acara ini merupakan kesinambungan dari festival sebelumnya, yakni menyebarluaskan film-film terbaik DFF 2013 sehingga karya-karya itu dapat dinikmati oleh kalangan yang lebih luas.
